How is New Jersey doing on the war against heroin and opiate addiction?

This year’s interactive forum will be entitled, Facing the Opiate Challenge and Co-occurring Mental Illnesses. Steve Adubato, PhD, Emmy Award-winning Anchor Thirteen/WNET (PBS) & NJTV (PBS), will serve as our Master of Ceremonies and Panel Moderator as we delve into how New Jersey is faring on the war against heroin and opiate addiction. Our Panel will feature leaders in the mental health, addiction and recovery communities. Treatment and prevention options for opioid addiction and co-occurring mental illness, as well as the critical role of the family in recovery will be addressed. Other highlights will be a networking cocktail hour, silent and basket auction and dessert.

It will be a night of inspiration, enlightenment and education that will highlight pathways toward recovery, which will include:

Proceeds from the Evening of Excellence will help Mental Health Association in New Jersey’s work in achieving victory over mental and behavioral health challenges through advocacy, education, programs and support services. Since it is a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization, donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
